  • This is a fairly accurate pie chart. The key to enjoying Gravity's Rainbow, I think, is to re-read it--slowly. It all makes a kind of sense, even the parts that don't.

  • Excel for the pies, then a bit of image editing (all IrfanView and MS Paint, actually) to get them on the same page, draw lines for the callout, and move the labels to better positions.
